Fundraising
Did you know that our local volunteer Special Olympics Community Council is responsible for providing the facilities and equipment for our athletes’ sports activities. The Council also provides transportation, uniforms, equipment, overnight trip accommodation, and hosts an Annual Awards Banquet. We do our best to try to keep costs affordable for our athletes by hosting several fundraisers throughout the year.
You may contact us at ssm@specialolympicsontario.ca for additional information or to let us know that you’d like to contribute to future fundraisers.

On-line Auction
Our newest fundraiser is an On-Line Auction to help raise the necessary funds for Jamie Hooper to attend the 2024 Nationals in Calgary as part of the Special Olympics Ontario Team and to cover expenses for our local sports. The feature item is a Victorian Dollhouse - kit and furniture (valued over $850) donated by one volunteer and built by another volunteer (time over 160 hours). It's gorgeous and would be an amazing gift for both the young and older ladies in your life just in time for giving during the Holiday Season.
You may bid on the Victorian Dollhouse or any of our other items on our facebook page. The highest bid on Sunday December 17 at 7 pm so check back often on the items that you're interested in. Full details of each of the items are available at ... .
